Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Mulliner, Bentley's bespoke coachbuilding unit has designed a distinctive keycase to mark the 100th anniversary of the company. Made from Dark Stained Walnut and Piano Black veneer, it includes a flying 'B' paperweight, a set keys and a brochure featuring never-before-seen 1930 8 Litre imagery.

It is the perfect gift to introduce a new owner to their opulent vehicle.

Aesthetics

Bentley is a brand that takes its aesthetics very seriously. It's evident in the precise positioning of its quilting, the selection of leather from cattle by-products, the timber from forests that are sustainably managed and the ingenious patterns that are etched on its levers. A car like the Continental GT W12 beckons as you take it in and showcases its stunning sculptural design and power by carefully curated lighting.

The Continental GT is the most sophisticated open-top Bentley ever made. The rear tonneau, for instance, featured the largest piece of dark-stained, book-matched Burr Walnut veneer ever applied to a production Bentley. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

Bentley is the most sought-after automotive brand in the world because of its distinctive design and workmanship. The company continues to push the limits with the latest technology and workmanship, such as the introduction of an instrument cluster that is digital as well as an electric tilt-opening rear glass sunroof and a crafted docking station for Apple iPads, and electrochromic 'smart' glass that can be switched from transparent to opaque by a button.

Bentley celebrated its 100th anniversary in the year 2019 100 years after it was established. The marque, which is now owned by Volkswagen on its own after years of dispute with BMW, has planned a range of special events and launches to mark the occasion. Design

Bentley is known for its extravagant and lavish automobiles, but even keys are designed to make a statement. The Bentayga key is crafted from sterling silver and has an oversized 'B' logo that let everyone know that you're a Bentley. It's also engraved with the years 1919 and 2019 to commemorate the company's centenary.

The Mulsanne was revamped and redesigned by Bentley Mulliner, to be the ultimate Grand Touring car. The rear seats were designed to give passengers unparalleled comfort and privacy. They were inspired by the luxurious private aircraft. The bespoke heating and ventilation as well as air conditioning system was designed to give every passenger the ideal climate control settings.

The Mulsanne has twin turbocharged 6.75 litre W12 engine that puts out 560bhp and 479lb-ft of torque. This amazing power is coupled by a brand new suspension system which provides Bentley's renowned smooth ride.

In celebration of its Centenary, Bentley introduced a custom-designed specification called the Centenary Specification for cars built in 2019. This includes cross-stitching and contrast stitching in Centenary Gold thread throughout the cabin. The Bentley Wings are embroidered with Centenary Gold on the headrests as well as the seats and other parts of the car. This makes it more fun to celebrate. A bespoke Bentley key case is also included in the Centenary Specification, making the Bentley experience all-inclusive.

Function

The Bentley Mulsanne Key features two buttons one of which opens the trunk, and the other that starts the vehicle. The key also includes a switch to turn on the parking brake. There is a knob that can fold and unfold the mirrors when parked in tight areas. Utilizing this feature will assist you in getting into and out of your car more quickly.

The key is made of vegetable tanned leather. It takes more than two days to make each one.  bentley valet key  is cut by hand, shaped, stitched and sealed, then polished to produce a premium result. It is compact and strong, and it fits the Bentley key perfectly. Its style is similar to the Volkswagen Phaeton large car's key, but it feels much heavier and has a luxurious feel.

Secure-A-Key is also included to prevent keyless entry theft. This device is placed inside the remote control fob and it shuts it down when the key has not been used for a short period of time. It blocks thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices that can unlock and start the car.

Bentley's distinctive design reflects firm's values of high-quality craftsmanship, engineering expertise, and modern technology. The headquarters in Crewe is home to more than 4000 employees who are responsible for the design, development, and production of Bentley vehicles. These workers apply skills that have been handed through generations to modern automotive technology. This is British manufacturing at its best.

Personalisation

Bentley's Mulliner division lets customers design their car. The "mood station" lets guests pick images that inspire them. They can choose anything from stunning views to sporting events. When each selection is made, a pattern emerges which shows the models and colors of the personalized Bentley.

The resulting configuration is loaded onto individual R.F.I.D.-enabled key cards, which are presented to guests in a handmade key case. The keys can also be outfitted with Bentley Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps that illuminate the door's opening path with the owner's name or emblem as they are approaching the vehicle.

Bentley estimates that it takes about 500 man-hours to build and put together the Mulsanne. The refusal to embrace modern technology is the key to this lengthy and laborious process. Instead of using a machine to place the perfectly matched cross-stitched leather seats, workers at the Crewe factory do it by hand. Drivers must park their cars manually, rather than relying on sensors built-in to guide them into perpendicular and paralell spots.

Bentley displayed its Mulliner personalization capabilities in an exclusive Mulsanne W.O. Edition, that pays tribute to founder William Osler Bentley. The Mulsanne W.O.
