Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary
Mulliner, Bentley's bespoke coachbuilding unit has designed a distinctive keycase to mark the 100th anniversary of the company. Made from Dark Stained Walnut and Piano Black veneer, it includes a flying 'B' paperweight, a set keys and a brochure featuring never-before-seen 1930 8 Litre imagery.

The Continental GT is the most sophisticated open-top Bentley ever made. Design

Function

Personalisation
Bentley's Mulliner division lets customers design their car. The "mood station" lets guests pick images that inspire them. They can choose anything from stunning views to sporting events. When each selection is made, a pattern emerges which shows the models and colors of the personalized Bentley.
The resulting configuration is loaded onto individual R.F.I.D.-enabled key cards, which are presented to guests in a handmade key case. The keys can also be outfitted with Bentley Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps that illuminate the door's opening path with the owner's name or emblem as they are approaching the vehicle.
Bentley estimates that it takes about 500 man-hours to build and put together the Mulsanne. The refusal to embrace modern technology is the key to this lengthy and laborious process. Instead of using a machine to place the perfectly matched cross-stitched leather seats, workers at the Crewe factory do it by hand. Drivers must park their cars manually, rather than relying on sensors built-in to guide them into perpendicular and paralell spots.
